Texture Inspired by Nature....
I have always been drawn to the textures of nature when seeking inspiration for new design ideas. Living in the foothills of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains most certainly has an influence on this magic pull to nature as design. An artist interprets the world around him and funnels that interpretation into chosen media such as painting, sculpture or fabric design. Producing Revolution Performance Fabrics®, our machine washable fabrics, my mind takes ease in knowing these fabrics can and do have a positive influence on nature, creating a much smaller footprint than other performance fabrics in the marketplace. Do we add potentially harmful PFC chemicals to our fabrics? Certainly not. By using Olefin yarns, the pigments are an integral component of the yarn, and we are actually using yarn produced from what was formerly waste products. It is certainly reassuring, and almost liberating to interpret the textures of my world by producing a fabric with the smallest carbon footprint of any synthetic fiber.
So, can Revolution Performance Fabrics® change our world? I'd certainly like to think so.
