Hamilton (Space 213). The special presentation features Maxine Campbell, founder of Unique Home Art & Objects Unlimited, and an all-star cast of artists who will be on hand to discuss their work. Campbell, who served as curator of High Point University’s Sechrest Art Gallery for a decade, will focus her talk on the finer points of pairing art and furniture, considering genre, scale, color palette and arrangement.

The past decade has been rough for the textile businesses in Cleveland County, with several manufacturers closing doors for good. But on Tuesday, STI Fabric unveiled its latest expansion, a 150,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility. The new building is the fourth in Kings Mountain for STI Fabric, a company that employs more than 350 people locally. The new addition has already increased the number of employees for the company, and more hires are expected to come.
