This year’s High Point Furniture Market was full of excitement and success for Revolution. Performance fabrics continue to be all the buzz and while many new performance brands have emerged, Revolution aces the test and beats the rest when it comes cleanability and durability… literally!
The International Textile Alliance organized an event, Performance Fabric Playground, that put performance fabrics to the test. More than ten different performance brands participated in the event and each had a sample of their fabric there to be tested by the judges and participants. The fabrics were stained with red wine, mustard, orange soda, lipstick and various other tough stain ingredients. While some fabrics were more successful than others, Revolution was the clear winner with our fabric being completely clean at the end of all the stain tests! Watch the video below for a full recap of the Performance Fabric Playground.

Another great HPMKT event was the launch party for the Belle by Cheryl Luckett collection. Revolution Design Ambassador, Cheryl Luckett, partnered with North Carolina based furniture manufacturer, Sylvester Alexander to create a five piece collection. One of Cheryl’s pieces is a banquette upholstered in Revolution pattern, Darwin. Cheryl’s beautiful collection is currently available for purchase to the trade through Sylvester Alexander. In the near future, Cheryl will be selling her collection at retail and every piece will have an option to be upholstered in Revolution or Brentwood Textiles!

This month, Revolution’s online store had it’s two year anniversary! While the store has seen consistent and overall growth, the trade program has really taken off in 2018. Interior designers all over the United States are successfully pitching Revolution to their clients! While Market is an ideal time to meet with our furniture manufacturer customers, it has also become a great way to meet interior designers who have purchased Revolution or that we’ve connected with over social media. There are many educational and networking events that are specifically for designers at Market. Check out the photos from some of the designer events we attended![caption id="" align="alignnone" width="2016.0"] Above (left to right): Having fun at the Revolution showroom! Every year, the STI and Revolution Design team comes to Market and sees all their hard design work come to life! In addition to seeing Revolution, the designers are able to see what is currently trending in furniture. This is also a great time to get feedback from our customers on what fabrics they are seeking for the next season, as that information will help guide fabric design over the next few months. Way to go, Revolution design team![caption id="" align="alignnone" width="640.0"] Above (left to right): STI/Revolution Design team, Jeff Davis, Todd Lavender, Ashley Hovis (marketing), Katherine Shoaf, Glen Read, Karen Porter, Gina Grantt, Jill Harrill (marketing) and David Gibbons (marketing) [/caption]
